The brainchild of Neepa Contractor & Siddharth Tyagi, this cosy, inviting place is turning every foodie who happens to taste their offerings, into a happy and a delighted customer. The Food Calls
Neepa is an interior designer by profession for 30 years while Siddharth is a commerce graduate who worked for his father’s textile business for some time. Both of them took up the path that led to the food industry out of their sheer passion for cooking and love for food. Maybe this explains why so many patrons cannot stop themselves from revisiting Taco Tahini so often. Being a two-months-old venture, the food frenzy following they have comes as a surprise.
The Name-Game
Neepa & Siddharth both wanted the name of their venture to explain the crux of everything they offer, while not giving out way too much. They wanted their patrons to know that they serve different cuisines while still keeping the surprising elements of their menu intact. So ‘Taco’ and ‘Tahini’ being quite popular dishes in Mexican & Lebanese cuisines, respectively, fit their requirement perfectly.
The Showstopper Dishes
Apart from serving Mexican & Lebanese, they also serve Italian cuisine. Amongst the baffling options for breakfast & evening snacks, healthy beverages, salads and much more, Burrito Bowl & Sizzlers are their bestselling items. However, they take the most pride in serving their special dish called Gunfire Pizza, which is a lip-smacking pizza with a thin crust and is served within 5-7 minutes of placing the order; hence the name. Another star item they serve is the non-alcoholic beer of the brand called ‘3 sisters’. Currently, they are the only ones in Surat offering this brand and it is a huge hit among the customers, already.
The Upcoming Chapter
In a small span of time, Surat has treated their venture with much love and appreciation. Each time a new patron or an old one visits their haven for food or beverages, they ensure that they are delighted beyond their expectations. They also take their feedback quite seriously and act on the them. With one step at a time, they plan to open more joints and gradually expand in the coming years.
